Living in the The Land Between: A How-To Series

Here at The Land Between we have conducted literature reviews, compiled resources and written some articles to help year round and seasonal residents, both new and veteran, to learn how to live more sustainably in this very special region. Each of the topics below influences the health of ecosystems and wildlife, so it is of grave importance that we learn how to minimize our impacts on them while also enjoying our time in the great outdoors.

The Land Between is a beautiful, diverse and unique landscape. This region is also the last intact wilderness expanse of southern Ontario and provides refuge for disappearing species and ecosystem services, from turtles to pollinators, moose to head water recharge, and more! Many of us have come here, to cottage country, to escape from the city and enjoy this land's wildlife, forests and lakes, so let's work together to keep it pristine and natural!
