Wolf – Maaiingan Talking Circle- Greater Parry Sound Area

March 21, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • « The ABC’s of The Land Between- a land of hope
  • Wolf Online Meeting- Maaiingan Talking Circle- Huntsville and Area »

Calling all Hunters, Harvesters and First Nation Knowledge Holders

We want to refine the understanding and communications related to the Algonquin Wolf in Ontario, to provide new information, find enhanced solutions, and correct some public perceptions. While the Draft Recovery Strategy included best available science, inexact communications and broad approaches have resulted in public misconceptions about the threats to wolves.

Talking Circles are for hunters, harvesters and First Nation Knowledge Holders, to share knowledge and observations, towards a more complete picture. Circles are led by Indigenous Elders and are delivered by The Land Between in partnership with the Ontario Fur Harvesters Federation. For more information or to find a circle near you, see below, or call Leora at 705-854-3578
