Watershed Planning Through Reconciliation

We have been talking to municipal decision-makers about making informed decisions and the duty to consult but when their local indigenous communities are brought up, it goes silent. No one seems to know what to do or say. This is a big problem as our natural shorelines, which provide many holistic benefits, are being destroyed. When municipalities think of informed decision-making, they often think of an EIS, which speaks from a western science perspective. But there are other experts in this field that are not often consulted or offered a seat at the table. Join this workshop to learn more. Hear from Indigenous leaders and experts on this issue.
