Tracking Turtles on Roads is extremely helpful for conservation. Road mortality is the number one threat to turtles in Ontario. By understanding where turtles are crossing and what types of turtles are found and where, biologists can design and implement mitigation measures from crossing signs to turtle tunnels, but also understand better what is happening with populations.
